Autobiography...?

Since most (if not all) of the information from that period will be coming from others instead of your own recollections, you might try writing that chapter from the viewpoints of others: your parents, siblings, neighbors, etc. What was going on in your family during those years, how did your arrival change the family, etc.? Ask them what all they remember from those two years and put it down as it they are telling the story, not you.
