Why did Blagojevich slam Obama since no one ever talked to Blago about it? He was never told no.?

Many pointed to Blago's rant as "proof" that Obama was not involved. Hoever, the internal Obama team report shows that no one was aware or told Blago that quid pro quo was not workable, which means they never told Blago no. So who did talk to Blago? Obviously someone Blago believed was speaking on Obama's behalf regarding and appointment. It is unlikely the other options were discussed since the tribune story came out and forced the DOJ's hand on the criminal charges.
