I just started my new job. I came to work and greeted my co-workers with an effervescent "Good morning". One of the employees never replied back. When I had questions or needed clarifications, it seemed as if that person was not willing to answer or give me any suggestion. I had to accept the fact that we have different personalities and backgrounds. The team meetings we had were very helpful in dealing with this concern. I expressed my accomplishments and concerns during the week, and shared my best practices. Furthermore, we had a chance to meet during lunch hours or brief breaks and talk about non-work related topics such as my background, education and previous work experiences. We began to embarr each other, so we moved to the next level of mutual understanding and cooperation.
